Online Banking
Former Valley National Online Banking Account users can now log in to Century Bank Online Banking using your current User ID.  The first time you log in to your account, you will be required to set up a new password for your Century Bank Online Account.  Century Bank uses a secure password authentication process.  Your temporary password will be the last four digits of your Social Security Number. You will be required to accept the Online Banking Agreement, choose a watermark and set up multi-factor security questions.

IMPORTANT news and information related to Century Bank and Valley National Bank.

February 16, 2015 - System conversion is complete. All former Valley National Bank accounts have now been converted to the Century Bank System.

Our office at 322 N. Riverside Drive in Espanola is open for customer assistance from the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Our Century Bank Call Center in Santa Fe is also open during this time and can be reached at 505.424.2888.

At 4:00 a.m., Valley National Bank Debit and ATM cards were deactivated. New Century Bank VISA Debit Cards can now be activated by calling 505.424.2828 or stopping by any of our convenient locations. (See above for special business hours on February 16, 2015.)

February 12, 2015 - Valley National Bank Online access will be available until 4:00 p.m. on February 12, 2015. You may schedule transfers and bill payments as normal until this time.

If you have Valley National Bank eStatments, you may want to download or print them for your records before 4:00 p.m., as they will not be available online after conversion.

After 4:00 p.m., the online banking system will be in "view only" mode, you will not be able to generate payments or make account transfers using online banking.

February 9, 2015 - Special Hours in Espanola! - This weekend our Espanola branch will be closed on Saturday, February 14, 2015.

We will however, have special lobby hours on Monday, February 16 from 9 am – 2 pm.

Online Banking - This week, former Valley National Bank Online Banking customers will be receiving important information about their Online Banking accounts. February 2, 2015 - Your new Century Bank debit card will be arriving soon. Please DO NOT activate this new card until 8:00 AM on February 16, 2015. On that same day at 4:00 AM your Valley National Bank ATM/Debit card will be deactivated. Please make sure to destroy your Valley National Bank card. What happens to your accounts? Will your account number(s) change? Can you still use your checks? Get answers to these and other important questions below.

Q: Will my account number change?
A: Your account number(s) on your deposit account(s) and loan(s) will not change as a result of this conversion. However, in the unlikely event that there is a duplication of account numbers on the Century Bank system, you will be notified of any changes to your account numbers.
Q: Will my Valley National Bank checks continue to be accepted after the acquisition? If so, for how long?
A: Absolutely. We will honor all outstanding Valley National Bank checks after the conversion date of February 13, 2015 provided you have sufficient funds in your Century Bank account at the time of presentment.       
Q: Can I or should I order new checks now?
A: No, this is not necessary. Around the time of conversion, Century Bank will provide all personal account holders an initial supply of new checks at no cost.  Business clients may contact a Century Bank Customer Service Representative about ordering new business checks if necessary.
Q: Will I have to buy new checks when my account(s) converts to Century Bank?
A: No, you may continue to use your Valley National Bank checks indefinitely. Century Bank will provide all personal account holders with an initial supply of new checks at no cost.  Business clients may contact a Century Bank Customer Service Representative about ordering new business checks if necessary.    
Q: How will my IRA transition to Century Bank?
A: Century Bank will become the Custodian of Valley National’s IRAs on the acquisition date. On November, 14, 2014, Valley National IRA clients were notified of this by letter. Clients can continue to make contributions and distributions on their IRA and HSA accounts in accordance with IRS regulations and limits.
Q: Will Century Bank continue to offer Christmas Club Accounts?
A: Century Bank will not offer Christmas Club accounts; however, a savings account can be set up and money set aside in an interest bearing account for any special event, such as Christmas. We can set up free automatic transfers between your checking account and your savings account for any amount you wish to put aside.
Q: Will I need to change my automatic payments and direct deposits?
A: Century Bank will initiate the required changes necessary to redirect most automatic payments and direct deposits to Century Bank. A Notification of Change (NOC) will be sent electronically by Century Bank to Automated Clearing House (ACH) originators that initiate electronic debits or credits to/from you Valley National Bank Account. This NOC will advise the ACH originator to update their records with Century Bank's routing number.
Q: Will you help me transition my Social Security Deposit to Century Bank?
A: Yes! See answer above.
Q: Will I have to re-establish my Internet Banking service with Century Bank?
A: Century Bank will create a new online banking account for you and transfer the information from your current account to your new account. You will be required to set up a new password for your Century Bank account using Century’s secure password set up process the first time you log in to your online account after conversion. See the Conversion Guidebook for important information regarding Online Banking and eStatements.       
Q: Will my Online Banking Bill Payments continue or do I need to re-establish them on Century Bank’s Online Banking Bill Payment system?
A: Your Bill Payment payees, scheduled payments and recurring payments will be converted to your new Century Bank Online Banking account. On February 16, 2015 you may access your Bill Payments by logging into your new Century Bank Online Banking account and accessing the Bill Payment tab. Up to two years of Bill Payment history will be converted. For more information, please refer to the Conversion Guidebook.
Q: Will Internet Banking scheduled transfers continue to work?
A: Yes! Scheduled transfers set up in Internet Banking will be converted to your new Century Banking Online Banking account.
Q: How will Dial-a-Bank customers be transitioned to Century Bank?
A: Customers using the Valley National Bank Dial-a-Bank system will automatically be set up on Century Bank’s telephone banking system. Initially, to access account information, users will be required to set up a new PIN within 10 days after conversion on February 16, 2015.
Q: Will my Debit/ATM Card transactions continue to be honored by Century Bank?
A: Yes, up until 4:00 a.m. on February 16, 2015 and provided there are sufficient funds in your account. Century Bank will issue a new debit card to replace your current card on or before February 13, 2015. If you have automatic payments tied to your debit card, you will need to provide your service provider with your new card number. All new cards will use Century Bank’s Bank Identification Number (BIN). During the transition between the acquisition closing date and the conversion date of February 13, 2015, all Valley National Bank ATM/ Debit Cards can be used at all Century Bank’s ATM locations with no service fees.
Q: Will I be receiving a new Debit Card/ATM Card?
A: Yes, see answer above. You can continue to use your Valley National Bank card until 4:00 a.m. on February 16, 2015, which is when your Valley National Bank card will be deactivated. Your new Century Bank debit card can be activated beginning at 8:00 a.m. on February 16, 2015.
Q: Will a new Safe Deposit Box contract need to be signed?
A: No, the existing Safe Deposit Box Contract will remain in effect.
Q: Will Safe Deposit Box Payments stay the same?
A: For 2015, your payments will remain the same. For 2016, your payment will be converted to automatically debit your Century Bank account.
Q: How will I make loan payments at Century Bank?
A: While you may continue to use your Valley National Bank issued coupons for payments, Century Bank will begin sending you a monthly billing statement for your loan payments. Please see the Conversion Guidebook about information concerning where and how to make your loan payments. NOTE: Certain loan accounts were not acquired by Century Bank. Loan customers that were not acquired will be notified by VNB Assets Corporation about details concerning their loans including payment and contact information. Century Bank will notify loan customers that have been acquired in a separate mailing regarding details concerning their loans.
Q: Will the terms on my loan change as a result of this conversion?
A: No, there will be no changes to the interest rate or terms on your existing loan as a result of this conversion. Your account number will not change. In the unlikely event that there is a duplication of account numbers on the Century Bank system, you will be notified of any changes to your account numbers.
